What is the future of mental health?

Mental health is a virtual part of our life which impacts how we feel, think and behave each day. This means it contributes to our decision making process, how we cope with stress and how we relate to others in our lives. As a group we hope to learn; how to improve our emotional health day-to-day and when’s a good time to reach out for help.

1.

Fernando Luca Martinez

Luca interviewed a hospice nurse who deals with mentally ill individuals as well as families who are affected by this along with a communications and English major.

Maira Cortez-Ferrer

Maira interviewed a graduate student who is currently working on becoming a clinical psychologist as well as a Cougar Health Center Staff Member to gain knowledge from a professional's perspective and get WSU Resources.

Maysea Hovander

Maysea interviewed two college students majoring in multimedia journalism and the other psychology and criminal justice. Along with them, she interviewed a college baseball recruit. With some personal experiences as well as objective experiences, they provide a lot of insight into mental health.

Andrew Scheuffele

Andrew interviewed an individual with experiences leadership and mentorship, as well as working with various at risk people in a religious setting.

D’aujinae Williams    

D'Aujinae interviewed two individuals who witnessed first hand and experienced what it was like to fight for what is right in our community as well as an essential worker.​

   Jayshaun Wise        

Jayshaun did a self-conducted interview, as he is a college baseball player at WSU and majoring in sports management, he gave his personal take on mental health.

About Us

We are a group of college students at Washington State University studying and pursuing various degrees and careers. We are all apart of Human Development and Lab Group 27 and are looking into then future of mental health for our final project.
